lime crime candy eyed eyeshadow helper review

Long, long overdue... Just when I was this close to covering practically everything Lime Crime had to offer, they had to go and release the China Doll palette. Wah! My database is incomplete. :( Moving on though...

Candy Eyed Eyeshadow Helper is a lightly milky, mostly clear primer with a tacky, sticky texture.

As you can see, it comes in a little Tiffany blue dome. Awww.

Lime Crime recommends applying this with fingers, and I have to agree with them. The thickness of it tends to gunk up if you use a synthetic brush to apply. For those of you with longer nails, like me, I just use the back of my nail to scrape out a little bit then smear it all around my eye area. Good to go!

One minor issue is the big crack around the perimeter of the product. This is apparently due to silicone shrinkage and as far as I know hasn't affected the performance in any way coz this is pretty freakin' good stuff. Check out my little traffic light!

L-R: With primer, without. Lime Criminal, Circus Girl, Siren.

You can see clearly where the primer ends especially in Siren. LCCEEH grips well, however the blendability is not the best because of just how tacky it is, but this can be remedied with a touch of base shadow before moving on to your main look. I ran my arm under water and the shadows look just the same as before. Woooooo. Also I think it's worth noting that it works better with loose shadows rather than pressed.

Does it last on the eye? Oh baby, yes it does. That's twelve hours (and 20 mins) of wear you're looking at, and it's practically picture perfect. Check the EXIF data, I dare you! Fan freakin tastic! To find out which is before and which is after, just check the URL of each image.
